VESSEL SAFETY

All vessels are fully ISM certified with SMCs issued since February 22, 1999.

The vessels are subjected to comprehensive safety inspection every quarter by a shore based safety inspector who has full authority to stop any vessel from trading whenever found deficient per oil company standards. In addition, the vessel master is required to conduct a monthly safety inspection and report his findings to the safety officer for immediate rectification.

A safety committee headed by the master is also created in each vessel, the committee is tasked to meet monthly after each safety inspection by the master to discuss safety issues. A fixed agenda has been prescribed and the minutes of these meetings are submitted to the company safety officer.
